IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SAS Families

 

 

Progress Reports:  Our next progress report (PR#3) will end on 11/27/24.  Students should be at SAS that day to meet with their teachers so they can fill in their progress report with the credit they have earned for that period.  Each student will have a copy of their PR to show their parents. We will begin PR#4 when we return from the holiday break on 12/2/24.

 

Free and Reduced forms: are available online on the district website at F&R lunch application.  Be sure to complete the “Fee Waiver form so that extracurricular fees will also be free or reduced (depending upon your qualifications).  Be sure to check ALL the boxes to insure you will receive the maximum benefit.

 

Breakfast and Lunch: Regular school breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase this year.

Please make the appropriate deposits to your student’s food account – by cash/check made payable to “NSD” then bring to cook at SAS (or) pay online at https://family.titank12.com/.  Unfortunately, negative account balances will be carries over to the new school year.  If you have questions about your student’s food account, please call 425-408-7654.

 

Student fines/fees:   SAS has assessed a $25.00 supply fee for all supplies your student will need for the year.  If your student has other fines/fees (from other schools as well as SAS) please ask them to return books, computers, chargers & cases and pay any other fees in the main office.

 

Computers:  Students will be responsible for any damage or loss to their assigned computers, cases and chargers.  The district offers Device Protection at a cost of $25.00. Please use this form to apply and pay the fee of $25.00 to SAS. If you qualify for Free&Reduced lunch you will still need to fill out the form but your cost will be $0.

 

BUS PASSES: (Transportation is NOT allowing this now but may in the future).  If your student wishes to ride home with another student, all requests need to follow district policy.  Requests must be in writing and include name, address and bus number of the student they will be riding home with.  All bus requests are to be turned into the main office prior to lunchtime for approval and processing.  This may change per COVID and district procedures as information is received.

 

Clubs and Fridays: We have Clubs every Tuesday from 1:25 – 2:55. ALL SAS students are REQUIRED to participate in two Clubs for Flex credit.  They can choose from an array of topics and activities and remain in those Clubs for the semester.  Fridays are also REQUIRED.  Students need to sign up (on Tuesdays) for three sessions each Friday.  (Fridays can potentially give them a full credit by the end of the year).

 

For Parents:  Responsibility of student

Due to our new cell phone policy students will only be allowed to use their phones during breaks and lunch. If your student calls or texts, you to come home please tell them to go to the Nurse.  They NEED permission (by the Nurse or Admin) to leave school.  Our Nurse will contact you if your student needs to go home.   We try to work with students to help them stay in school whenever possible.

 

Parking: When dropping off or picking up students please BACK IN to the parking space.  This is for safety reasons.
