Health Room SAS
Kelli Wax, RN
7:40 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.
Monday - Friday
This is my third year working as a school nurse in the Northshore School District. I spent more than 25 years prior to that working with adults and children going through cancer treatment and bone marrow transplants.
I would like to work with our students and their families to help them achieve optimal wellness. I can best serve your children if I am informed of changes in their health status including new or resolved medical or mental health diagnoses, medication changes and immunization updates. Please promptly communicate questions or concerns to me directly and don’t assume that your student or another staff member has informed me.
I must be advised of ANY medication that students bring to school. There is a link from this page to the Northshore School District's policy on medications. Please contact me if you have questions about this or if there are any other concerns.
Our focus in the health room includes maintaining a healthy learning environment, teaching independent health habits, and supporting the psychological and physical well being of our students, families, and staff.
We provide the following services:
- Basic vision and hearing screenings
- Immunization and disease monitoring
- Injury and illness care during school
- Administering medication
- Health education
- Resources and referrals
- and more!
